REVIEW-PENDING — this is an engineering starting draft, not legal advice. It is pending human legal review and sign-off before publication.
Terms of Service
The agreement under which Data Destroy acts as your authorized agent to send and track data-deletion requests on your behalf.
Sending on your behalf
Data Destroy acts as your authorized agent. By using the service you authorize us to send and track data-deletion and erasure requests to companies on your behalf. We act only on the requests you authorize; we never send anything you have not approved.
Your signed authorization mandate
Your authorization is established by a signed mandate: you e-sign a tamper-evident, cryptographically-anchored authorization document that is written once and cannot be altered. This is not a forgeable PDF. Companies can independently verify your signed mandate, and that verifiable mandate is what authorizes us to act as your agent.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Data Destroy only to manage deletion requests relating to your own personal data, and not to misuse the service or submit requests you are not entitled to make.
No warranty (“as is”)
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that any company will act on a deletion request, only that the request is sent and tracked under your signed mandate.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Data Destroy is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service. (Exact scope pending legal review.)
Account, termination, and your right to purge
You may disconnect and purge your account at any time. Purge performs a crypto-shred that renders your stored data permanently unreadable. We may suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of an EU member state. The exact jurisdiction is a placeholder pending legal review.
